Facial Masks for Dry Skin
Dry skin is a common skin problem and ranges from mild dryness to severe dryness to skin breakdown. It feels rough and appears dull, often with a flaky surface and patchy dry white areas. If severely dry, cracks and fissures may be visible and the surrounding skin may appear red indicating the presence of inflammation and possible secondary infection.1
Dry skin may pose a problem mostly in the cold, winter months when dryness gets intense enough to cause significant discomfort in terms of pain and unsightly appearance. Most people do not even realize that dryness is a health problem of the skin that needs corrective measures, both externally, like the regular use of facial masks and moisturizers, and internally, like a change in erroneous dietary patterns and poor lifestyle, in order to bid dry skin goodbye.2
Facial masks for dry skin offer intensive hydration to replenish the skin’s lost moisture; nourish the skin with protein and amino acids which both help to boost the production of Collagen, Hyaluronic acid, and other substances in the skin cells that help to retain the skin’s moisture; protect the skin from inflammations, wrinkles, sagging skin, and other signs of premature skin aging which easily occur on dry skin, and additionally whiten, protect the skin from free radical damage, and nourish it with vitamins and minerals to keep it healthy and prevent skin dryness from coming back.
