Facial Treatments at Home
Have you had a long hard day? Do you want to have a 'me' time, where it’s all about you, not your house, your kids or even your husband?
Facial treatments are just the answer and a great way to pamper yourself.
A facial treatment will make your face smooth, soft and refreshed by cleansing, hydrating, exfoliating and increasing blood circulation in your facial skin.
Going to the Spa is another great way to treat yourself. While there are many people who can’t afford going to spa, there are ways to achieve the same results. If you don’t want to go to the spa or can’t afford to spend on spa treatments, don’t worry you can do a facial treatment at home itself. It may not be the same experience as luxuriating in a spa but it’s a great affordable treatment.
There are many facial treatments that you can do at home, often from the stuff you have in your kitchen.
If you are going to do a facial treatment at home, you need to make a list of the things you need, which are as follows:
Face cleanser
Soft Cotton washcloth
Large pot filled with water
Two whole lemons
Two soft cotton hand towels- steaming and drying
Hydrating facial mask (you can make this yourself)
Toner (make at home)
Moisturizer
There are many facial masks you can make at home. One refreshing one is combining half of a peeled cucumber, one egg white, a squirt of lemon juice , lime juice , a quarter of an apple and three min leaves. Put all this in a processor. After blending, keep the mixture in a fridge for 10-15 minutes for that extra refreshment, and then you can spread it on your face. You can rinse it off after 20 minutes.
Other types of facial treatments will depend on your skin type.
For example, basil soaked in boiling water is effective in treating acne. Avocado and egg yolks helps dry skin, blending the fruit with egg whites will reduce oil for those who tend to break out. You can exfoliate your skin by grinding almonds and walnuts in a processor and then mix it with mayonnaise. A mango aloe vera combination can reduce facial redness. Before you try any facial recipe, its best to test it on a small patch of skin before applying.
A great idea would be to invite all your friends for a facial treatment party, where everyone can bring a recipe to share.
