Skin Types
It is very important for you to know your skin type before you buy facial masks, or go for a skin treatment, or even to take better care of your skin. There are 5 basic skin types. For each skin type, we have the correct facial mask for you.
Five Skin Types
The initial type of skin is genetically determined (i.e. Skin you are born with). The health and beauty of your skin depends on what you eat and how you take care of it. To have great skin, first determine what is your skin type and then you can go for the skin treatment or use facial masks particular to your skin type. Many people are not sure on what is their skin type. Male skin is 20% thicker and tougher then female skin. Male skin has more oil, larger exposed pores, richer blood supply and tends to sweat more then a woman skins. Skin types can be categorized into five types. Regardless of your skin type, we have the right facial mask for you.
Normal Skin
Normal skin reflects health and needs gentle treatment. Normal skin is vibrant, elastic and supple and is the least problematic. Normal skin is not oily and looks clean and smooth. Normal skin requires minimum care. It is an exact balance between oil and moisture contents and is neither greasy nor dry. Overall skin tone is even and has small pores. Normal skin does not have spots and blemishes. Facial masks for normal skin are available.
Dry Skin
Dry skin looks parched and tends to flake easily. Dry skin is prone to wrinkles and lines. This is because dry skin can’t retain moisture because of lack of proper sebum, produced by sebaceous glands. In cold weather you can have problems with dry skin and it ages faster then the normal or oily skin. Constant care is required for dry skin. You need a moisturizer during daytime and a good cream at night. Facial masks for dry skin are available.
Oily Skin
Oily skin is problematic- it appears greasy, thick, coarse and shiny, has big pores and often has acne. Oily skin is not vulnerable to aging and wrinkling. To improve the quality of oily skin, you need to carefully clean it, reduce carbohydrate consumption and avoid rich creams. Oily skin happens when sebum is oversecreted making the skin surface oily. The oily surface attracts dirt and dust. Oils skin is susceptible to blackheads, whiteheards, spots, pimples etc. Oily skin is not clear. Oily skins need to be cleansed thoroughly. Facial masks oily skin are available.
Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin has a fine texture and as the names implies is sensitive. Bleaching, wxing, threading, perfumes, soap etc can’t be used for sensitive skin. People with sensitive skin should avoid face products and skin care products. Facial masks for sensitive skin are available.
Combination Skin
Combination skin is a mix of oily and dry skin. Certain areas of the face will be oily and greasy while at the same time areas of the cheeks and eyes and mouth may be dry. Combination skin is a mix of both oily and dry skin with certain areas of the face oily and the rest dry. If you have both skin types then treat each skin type separately. Facial masks for combination skin are available.
